From Silicone to Stone
Sarah Armakan

From Silicone to Stone is a body of research that explores socio-cultural views on aging from past and present, compiled into the form of a book. Societal pressures have constructed “youth” to be a normalized state of being where as anything past that, such as growing old, is not. In the same breadth, technological advances have made us believe we are living in a modern techno-society, where sooner rather than later, the idea of eternal youth feels closer to our grasp than ever before.

The project includes an identity for Printed Matter, Inc.
